MARK T. SHKLOV

Mark T. Shklov is a member of the Bars of Hawaii and New York and has practiced law in the State of Hawaii continuously since 1976. He is also a licensed Real Estate Broker. Mr. Shklov's primary legal work centers around advice to businesses.

 

Mr. Shklov acts as counsel to clients with diverse and varying needs, including foreign companies, family owned businesses and individuals. He has established strong professional and personal relationships with lawyers who practice in the Asia-Pacific Region, with whom he works regularly. He is Past President of the International Law Section of the Hawaii State Bar Association, Past Chairman of the Japan-Hawaii Lawyers Association, Member of the American Bar Association and was an At-Large Council Member of the Inter-Pacific Bar Association, 1991-1994.

Mr. Shklov is a member of Pacific Legal Network (PLN) which has strategic alliances with lawyers and law firms in Sydney, Australia; Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea; Port Villa, Vanuatu; Nadi, Fiji Islands; Noumea, New Caledonia; Apia, Samoa; Pago Pago, American Samoa; and Palau.

Mr. Shklov is currently the Hawaii State Bar Association’s appointed member to the Hawaii Board of Certified Shorthand Reporters. Mr. Shklov is also on the Board of Directors of the Collection Law Section of the Hawaii State Bar Association. His most recent published article was entitled, "Collateral Fallout from the Sub-Prime Mortgage Crisis in the United States", published in PLN BankNote February 2008.
